Hello Everyone!

Thanks for joining the group! Tell us a little more about yourself, where your from and what kind of car you drive.

Im from Houston, TX and I own a 2000 FRC Corvette. I do all the work on it myself. Just changed the clutch and swapped the torque tube. Planning on getting a custom cam soon...

I also am in the proces of starting a business for treating auto parts. We will be cryogenically treating all parts from the block up, making for 2-3 times longer life, consistent hp all throughout its life, increases strength and adds horsepower. Eventually moving into engine design/R&D which is my passion. When I was 17 i took apart an old 350 and blueprinted it just for the hell of it. I have so many ideas but it takes soooooo much money to try and develop a new product, but things are slowly moving... All of this is to pay for racing.

Take it easy

My 1989 C4 Corvette was given to me as a graduation/birthday present from my Grandfather; unfortunately, this means that all the work done to it over the years regarding after market electronics was done by various shops who fu##ed up the electronics sos it is a constant hassle to try and diagnose electrical problems.

Aside from electrical gremlins, its a fun ride with the procharger on tap to deliver that fun "boost" of horsepower...

I agree completly about the time $$, on trying to make all the ideas come to life. I'm always "bench racing" with my friends, always trying to come up with unique engine swaps etc..

What's Happening All,

My name is Richard and I live in Southern California. I'm 21 years old and I own a 1986 C4 Corvette. It has had its problems since I've been driving it but has held on strong.

What do each of you have and where are you from?

I feel your pain, I feel your pain. It's a never ending battle for finding a short, I have a serious electrical issue. I have been trying to figure this out for a while now... I tried messing around again today, fixed a couple wires and connectors that I thought needed some TLC.

I have owned my C4 for a little over 3 years now and was also given to my by my grandfather when I was 18. By that time this had been my third car to own.

My first car was a 1990 pontiac grand prix that I bought for 10 dollars and eventually broke a couple months later due to the transmission going out. I junked it for 100, I then bought a temp. car for 700 dollars which was a 84 volvo that I drove for a while... until it was towed and impounded then crushed. I was then given this Corvette and it has turned me into an enthusiast.

The car had 154k miles on it when I received it and has needed TLC since. The body needs a little work, the interior is in bad shape... the motor runs fine and so does the transmission. It's an automatic... The instrument cluster has never worked since I've owned the car so I drive through muscle memory to match the speed limit.

I love this car... but it needs some tlc.
