In 2006 VW's PR Deparment came up with the fantastic idea of renaming their little hatchback- the Rabbit. Despite the fact that this vehicle is known by its other guise- Golf worldwide.This marketing tactic seemed to do little for sales. When the 6th generation Rabbit goes on sale in the coming year it will once again be called a Golf.
